Here’s what to expect at the Fest beyond great films!

Networking and Receptions

The festival offers a variety of beverages and light snacks throughout the weekend at the Colorado School of Mines Green Center.

There will be snacks and an open bar during Thursday’s Community Opening Night, Friday from 2:30PM to 8:30PM, during the Saturday Night Meet the Filmmakers Party from 5:00PM to 7:30PM and Sunday from 11:30AM to 3:30PM.

Thursday Community Night (free)

Thursday, February 22

Come celebrate opening night and walk the green carpet at our new venue, CSM’s Green Center! Enjoy a night of films, engaging conversation and the announcement of the year’s award winning films. Reserve your free ticket today and “pay what you can” to enjoy this unique evening of environmental films. Your ticket includes opening night pre-party and film screening plus the award ceremony.

The evening will be hosted by PBS12 and emceed by Tom Brainard, Vice President of Content and Community Partnerships. Evening films are generously sponsored by PBS12 and the Denver Film Dragon Boat Film Festival.

5:30-7:30 PM: Celebrate reconnecting with our CEFF community with drinks and light snacks before the films. Music by Daria Joanna.
7:30-9:30 PM: Enjoy a night of films, engaging conversation and the announcement of the CEFF 2024 award winning films! Bunker Auditorium.

Films include: True Survivors, Venus Ascending: Gender Equality and Water, Brearth, Sagarmatha Next, The Story of the Leatherback, Paddle Tribal Waters and Cease. Plus watch select University of Colorado Climate Communications Short Films.

Silent Auction

Silent Auction – Saturday, Feb. 24 from 3:00PM to 7:15PM (pick up your winning items after the screening)

CEFF Eco-Expo Community Showcase highlights local environmental-action groups and environmentally-minded/purposed organizations and businesses as they share their ideas and wares.

CEFF attendees learn new approaches to being a part of environmental change through involvement, action, and economic and personal choices. Explore and connect with Eco-Expo partners to be inspired and add a few new tools to your environmental-action toolbag!
